Your role at Clink Hostels as an F&B Supervisor is central to making our guests experience a memorable one.
You're actively creating connections, curating energy, problem-solving with empathy when things go sideways, and collaborating with teams across the front of house, kitchen, and bar. Your job is making sure travelers enjoy all of what Clink has to offer in our bar, café and canteen areas!

What you’ll actually be doing:
- Deliver Stand-out Food and Beverage Service with a warm, friendly and authentic approach – creating memorable café and bar experiences for every guest.
- Monitor and maintain high standards of service in breakfast. Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times. Be confident in serving all products (various coffees, beverages, food items, etc.) and support staff training and quality control in breakfast.
- Coach and mentor the team with their daily tasks, team management, development etc. and act as first point of contact for any issue management.
- Organise the daily tasks, help co-ordinate break times, ensure there is always a host on the floor to welcome and help guests.
- Act as the first point of contact when on shift to help with guest or team queries ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the hostel.
- Nurture a positive atmosphere amongst the team where there is open communication and a fun vibe, while maintaining good relationships with other departments across the business.
- Assist the management team with training new and current team members, support their development and growth in the hostel.
- Support the assistant manager in creating new procedures and/or initiatives to improve the guest experience and the smooth running of the hostel. This includes full training, execution and follow-up review where appropriate. As well as the team schedule, monitor and adjust on a daily basis in case of sickness and/or absence and report these to the management team.
- Actively upsell and promote our F&B offerings – recommending coffees, cocktails, food deals and specials to maximise guest experience and revenue
- Ensure all F&B areas (bar, café, service stations) are fully stocked, clean, organised and ready for service at all times.
- Ensure adherence to all food safety and health and safety requirements in line with legislation and internal procedures.
- Drive sales through table service and engagement – confidently suggesting add-ons like coffee, food, cocktails or upgrades during guest interactions
- Create a lively and welcoming bar/café atmosphere – helping shape the social vibe of the hostel and encouraging guests to stay, relax and spend time in the space
- Support and actively participate in events – promoting drink specials, engaging with guests and helping boost bar revenue during busy periods
- Any ad-hoc duties that may naturally arise in your role
- A confident, sociable communicator who thrives in high volume environments
- A team player, willing to jump in when needed
- Passionate about travel, local culture, and connecting people
- Someone with minimum 2 years experience in a bar or café
- Knowledgeable about our product offerings
- Genuinely interested in making travelers’ stays memorable
- A quick learner who's comfortable with serving multiple menus and constantly evolving special offers
- Up for learning and growing through training and internal opportunities
- Excited to work with a diverse team that celebrates individuality and different perspectives
